'In the Land of Saints and Sinners', a star-studded Robert Lorenz film, premiered at the 80th Venice International Film Festival on September 6th.
Set in Irleland in the 70s it follows a newly-retired assassin as he finds himself drawn into a lethal game of cat and mouse with a trio of vengeful terrorists. Working closely with the producers, Gerber & Stauffer Fine Arts placed an important painting by Rufino Tamayo from a client's collection in key scenes, adapting the script to make sure the work plays its part naturally in the story and ensuring perfect visual representation in postproduction.
The painting, a mesmerizing portrait of Gary Cooper's wife Veronica, was bought by us a few years ago from the Cooper estate. It quickly found a home in the Pacific Heights mansion of a client who is himself a hardcore movie aficionado and was immediately keen on investing in the continuation of the painting's stellar Hollywood pedigree when approached with our project.
